• The site offers steep rock walls, arches, tunnels and swim-throughs that make for exciting navigation and exploration underwater.  • The terrain drops quickly, with dive depths often between 15–80 ft (sometimes deeper), so it’s more suited to intermediate to advanced divers. There’s a fun and persistent local legend that cannonballs are around Carvel Rock from old sailors firing at the rock, but no solid historical or dive evidence confirms cannonballs actually being there today — it’s mostly entertaining folklore.
