About this spot
Shortest hike in is an up and over .8 mile hike from east end across from hurricane hole. (Can also access from Leinster bay/ Johnny horn trail) Once you get to the beach walk to the left along the beach trail through some brush and you pop out at some awesome jungle looking ruins on a rocky coral beach. Former danish plantation that failed at producing sugar cane and switched to mostly cattle. The bay and beach are commonly covered in sargassum you may have to hike over. During these times the water is super muddy, however you can still enter the water from the ruins and get clearer water out to the point. Beautiful fan coral and lots of wildlife but be careful of currents as you swim closer to the point.
